About the Opportunity

Russ Hadick Associates is working with a Client Company that is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of precision-engineered aerospace components. Our manufacturing operations serve customers across the commercial aviation, military and defense, and general aviation markets, producing complex parts and assemblies for leading aerospace manufacturers.

We take pride in delivering dependable products that meet demanding customer requirements. To support this commitment, we value technical expertise, practical problem-solving, collaboration, and a continuous focus on improving how work gets done.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer plays an important role in translating engineering requirements into practical, repeatable production methods. Working directly with shop personnel, this individual will help develop manufacturing plans, prepare production documentation, investigate quality concerns, and identify ways to improve manufacturing performance.

This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys combining technical analysis with hands-on involvement in a production environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop Production Methods: Establish machining and fabrication approaches that meet part specifications while supporting efficient and reliable production.
  • Improve Manufacturing Performance: Review current production methods, identify areas for improvement, and help implement changes that enhance process consistency, quality, and productivity.
  • Resolve Technical Issues: Investigate manufacturing problems and product defects, assess contributing factors, and recommend effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Prepare Manufacturing Documentation: Develop and maintain process routings, machine setup documentation, and operator work instructions that provide clear guidance for production activities.
  • Support Material and Quality Decisions: Assess questionable or nonconforming parts and materials, document findings as needed, and help determine appropriate next steps in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide Shop-Floor Engineering Support: Work alongside manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment, process, and production challenges and help keep operations moving efficiently.
  • Work Across Teams: Coordinate with colleagues throughout the organization to address technical concerns, communicate process requirements, and support production goals.
What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field. Previous professional experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A self-directed approach to work, with the initiative to identify challenges and follow through on solutions.
  • Familiarity with machining fundamentals, including cutting tools and operations such as milling, turning, and laser cutting.
  • An understanding of manufacturing methods such as multi-axis machining, metal forming or stamping, and welding.
  • Exposure to sheet metal manufacturing is an advantage.
  • An understanding of common aerospace metals and alloys, including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and nickel-based materials.
  • The ability to work with 3D engineering models and interpret technical product information.
  • Confidence reading and understanding engineering drawings, dimensional requirements, and customer-provided technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to work through technical problems methodically.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work constructively with employees across different departments and levels of the organization.
  • A collaborative working style and willingness to engage directly with production teams.
